Travelife is an international sustainability certification programme for hotels and accommodations. We work in partnership with tour operators, travel agents and accommodation providers to help protect destinations for the future and increase the positive impacts of the holidays they offer.
This includes supporting local businesses, buying local goods where possible, and protecting the environment and the well-being of people, including their staff, customers and suppliers. By working in partnership with accommodations, tour operators and travel agents around the world, together we are starting to change the way tourism businesses operate and make a significant contribution to sustainable tourism.

As part of TUI Group, the world' s leading international leisure travel group, we are committed to sustainable tourism, which can be seen through achievements from the recent years, but we recognise that we must work hard to ensure sustainable tourism now and into the future.
As one of the initiatives that demonstrates our commitment to sustainable tourism, we advise all the hotels we work with to utilise the Travelife Sustainability Scheme. For some hotels, Travelife will have served as an introduction to sustainability, whereas for others it recognises the substantial work already undertaken, by the achievement of Travelife Certification. Travelife is helping hotels on their sustainability journey, which in turn supports us on our own journey.
We'd like to imagine that not so long from now, we won't be talking about sustainable tourism – it will be just the way we and others do business. In the meantime, a trend has emerged: the scores for Travelife Certified hotels on our holiday feedback questionnaires are typically delivering a better customer experience than others.
